Finding Myself OMG: A Bullshit Quest

Well, where do I start? I'm struggling, I suppose, to find out who I am outside of who my parents want me to be, who my friends want me to be, or who my own perfectionist tendencies (totally personified) want me to be. I don't know if this blog will really document my progress in, ahem, coming of age, or if it will just basically be a place for me to vent and blab about nothing. We shall see.

Hell yeah, I'm an artiste!!!

So, those of you who read this regularly, or talk to me a lot, probably know that I'm working on my masterpiece--- my ultimate blog analysis/response to last week's State of the Union. It's taking a while, though, as all great art does.

This? Did not take forever, and therefore is probably not great art. I doodled it in like 5 minutes while I was on hold the other day at work. Hal and Leigh Ann (my bosses) thought it was pretty bomb-diggety though (they put it up on the wall, OMG), as did my biggest fan, my madre.

I really think it would be a crime to deprive you of it. This can tide you over until my opus State of the Union post is done. For all of those who've ever wondered what a human-animal hybrid looks like, I offer you:

A Work of Art by Marcia, Inspired by Our Illustrious Leader

Tonight I ask you to pass legislation to prohibit the most egregious abuses of medical research: human cloning in all its forms, creating or implanting embryos for experiments, creating human-animal hybrids, and buying, selling, or patenting human embryos. Human life is a gift from our Creator -- and that gift should never be discarded, devalued or put up for sale. --- President George W. Bush

It's pretty much a girl and a liger. Yes, Napoleon Dynamite is an inspiration here. There are some funky misaligned and extra stripes, and the girlie's face is all crooked but, dude, you have to remember this is a fucking mutant. A genetic experiment gone terribly wrong! A FREAK OF NATURE!!! (That last phrase can also be used to describe my Uncle Ross, for those of you who've heard the stories.)

Anyway, yes, hope you enjoy my artistic efforts!

I know, right? What would we do without a moral administration that's going to STOP these freaks from multiplying. Of course, I feel that I should perhaps be concerned myself, since on the full moon I turn into a were-pig, thanks to some experiments that were done on me while I was "sick."
